Birthday time yet again!!!

Meredith  is officially a two-year old (January 6th).  We made cupcakes and had our little party at home.  This turned out much better than last year, when she celebrated her first birthday in the hospital with a kidney infection and respiratory issues.  Thank the Lord she is healthy!
We are truly blessed to have Meredith in our lives.  She is caring, compassionate, and absolutely the sweetest thing on the face of the earth (even when she's showing her sassy side).  She's the apple of her Daddy's eye which makes him a sucker for her smiles and I love you's.  She is truly a gift from God and I thank Him each day for allowing us to be her parents.

Listening as we sing "Happy Birthday" to her.

Blowing out the candles...  This was the second attempt because Anthony blew then out the first time.  =)

Eating the cake rather than the icing.  She loved it!

Giving Daddy a taste!  She's got him wrapped around her finger.  Lord help me when she gets older!

Christmas 2010

So I may be a little behind on things, but I have an excuse!!!  I couldn't find the camera cord to connect it to the computer.  I finally found it!

Here's a glimpse at our Christmas at home and with family!

Waiting patiently for Daddy to get the video camera.

More Geotrax pieces!

My heavens... she loved her boas!

Pretty princess/Cheerleader having fun with the dress-up box.

Santa brought Anthony a new drum set!  It can't get any better than that!

A remote control airplane.... which is turning out to be more of a toy for Daddy than Anthony.  :)

Had to include this one because of the tongue sticking out while she unwraps her present.  Such concentration!

Meredith's new tricycle!  She's yet to master pedaling, but she loves it anyway!

A tiger that actually roars!

Turkey Trot 2010

I know this post is a little late (by a month and a half), but I figured better late than never, right?  Anyway, on Thanksgiving day morning, I ran a 5k called the Turkey Trot that was sponsored by my church.  I've been "training" for this for quite some time, but I finally made it!  I know 5k (or 3+ miles) may seem like nothing to some people, but to me it was a HUGE milestone!  I never figured myself for a runner, but I've done it to lose a few pounds.  Without my sweet hubby's support and encouragement, I would never have done this 5k.

Anyway, I think this is the start of something great.  Now I'm thinking of running a 5k in March as well as a 10k later in 2011.  Who knows..... maybe one day I'll run a half marathon!  :)

Here's a shot of me near the finish line.  I had my hubby and two kids cheering me along!
